Marketing is the missing puzzle in most network marketing businesses.
When you understand the basics of marketing, especially online marketing, you will not find it hard to build your business.
The reason why you are posting ads on Facebook and getting zero response is because you are trying to do hard core selling instead of MARKETING your business.
The reason why people tell you ‘NO’ when you show them your business opportunity is because you are trying to hard-sell them without first building any relationship.
I am not trying to say it is bad to sell something to somebody, selling is part of the marketing process but when you are putting the order of things, relationship comes first before selling.
This business is called “network marketing” for a reason and not network selling.
What that means is that if you are going to be involved in the network marketing profession, you must learn MARKETING.
I don’t engage in hard core selling, I don’t talk about my business and I don’t post links on social media spamming everywhere with links to my compensation plan, yet I get people reaching out to me and joining my business AWESOME ISN’T?.
That is exactly what is called MARKETING.
When you are good with your marketing strategies, you have people reaching out to you to find out more about your business and not the other way round and i will share the basic things i do that helped me.
Now, here is the step-by-step approach i took and it can work for EVERYONE irrespective of the type of business
Step 1: BRAND YOURSELF
Brand Yourself – you should understand that your network marketing company is not your real business. YOU are the real business so you should promote yourself first and not your network marketing company thus YOU attract audience to yourself who are now willing to do thesame business with you. “people patronize your brand before your product”.
The idea is to position yourself as an expert who is providing solutions and solving peoples problems. As people see that you are genuinely interested in helping them, they get attracted to you because they believe you can help them when they join your team.
Step 2: BUILD YOUR EMAIL LIST
Build Your Email List – If I had someone to give me the advice to build my list long when I first started my business, I should be making 10x what I am currently earning in network marketing now.
Your list is an asset that you need to build. Inside the list you are building is where you’ll find your potential customers and business partners.
Step 3: EDUCATE YOUR PROSPECTS
Educate – Many people mess things up as soon as they start building a list by trying to sell to their list upfront “wrong approach”. But it is advisable you do not try to start selling to your list immediately they join your mailing list.
Instead, you should create helpful content that will educate them about your business. People are very careful when it comes to making a buying decision because they want to be sure they are spending their money with the right person “self brand” and the only way you can position yourself as the right person is by giving them helpful information for free to gain their trust.
As long as you keep writing and sending them emails, when it is time to join a business or buy product that you have, they will remember that you are the only one who has been helping them genuinely without shoving your opportunity down their throat like other people, and they will come to you naturally.
Step 4: ASK FOR THE SALE
Ask For The Sale – Once you get every other step right, when you ask for the sale or ask people to join your business, it increases your closing rate because you’ve already built the know, like and trust factor. they have trusted you and over time looking forward to doing your business or joining your network “mostly to start building up like you”
